Welcome to our website
Thank you for taking the time to visit us. We are glad you have found us and we hope that you will visit us regularly as these pages are updated with information about all that goes on in Broxburn Parish Church. Our church is part of the Church of Scotland. Of course you can also visit us in person. Our Sunday morning service is at 11am and we would love to welcome you. We also have a short weekly service on Wednesdays at 12 noon.
Children join us for the first 15 minutes or so of the service and then they go through to the halls for their own time at Sunday Club. We have a team of dedicated volunteers, all of whom have been through the necessary child protection training. Our aim is to make the church not only a safe place for children, but also a place where they can learn the stories of Jesus, experience the love of God from those around.
Blythswood Shoebox Appeal
Although we are apart, we are working to support The Blythswood Shoebox Appeal 2020 and help bring joy to people less fortunate than ourselves in this difficult year. With shoeboxes in short supply, Blythswood have said we can use drawstring bags instead and we have a team of volunteers making these. If you'd like to take part this year, please get in touch as soon as possible with your usual contact or message us. We can provide the drawstring bag for you to fill with the items Blythswood suggest - simple things which mean so much to those who receive them. The large hall will be open from 10am till 12 noon on Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th October for you to drop off shoeboxes or drawstring bags. Thank you!
Bridge Newsletter Edition 5
Although we still can't worship together, we want to keep in touch with you. Edition 5 of the Bridge Newsletter is available now! You can download it from the News and Events tab above. Just click on the front page above to take you there.
Wednesday Service is back!
Our Wednesday lunchtime service is back! We still can't meet in church, so it is available on the Zoom platform - and even if you don't have Zoom you can listen on your phone. Our Interim Moderator Rev. Derek Henderson will lead the service every Wednesday at 12 noon. If you would like to watch or listen, please contact our Session Clerk Anne Gunn on: 07833 701274 for the login details. Don't worry if you've never used Zoom before as full instructions will be available.
