General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- Privacy of your personal information -
The Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR are acts of Parliament and regulations of UK law. The current 2018 act implements and rolls the previous EU regulations in UK law. The UK Parliament can however review and revise the regulations. The act and regulations combine to control how your personal information is used by organisations (such as Broxburn Parish Church), businesses or the government.
This notice outlines the way in which the Congregation will use personal information provided to us. Personal information includes any information that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, email address or telephone number. The Congregation recognises the importance of your privacy and personal information and we have therefore outlined in the documents below how we use, disclose and protect this information. The Congregation, jointly with the Presbytery of West Lothian, is the 'data controller' because we decide how your data is processed and for what purpose.
